Empower EMR

Empower EMR (formerly MWtherapy) is a cloud-based electronic medical record and practice management system for outpatient physical therapy practices. 

Key features:

• Documentation and outcomes: Therapists work from customizable templates that cover evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries. Patient details populate automatically, and the platform includes outcome measure tracking, plan of care tracking, authorization and approval tracking, scan and upload, patient e-signature, a home exercise program tool, and inbound and outbound e-fax.
• EmpowerAI: As the name suggests, the AI suite that helps to automate documentation, charting, and analysis. The higher plan adds an unlimited AI scribe that drafts notes and offers real-time compliance guidance.
• Scheduling. The calendar supports color coding, multi-location views, and email and text reminders. An automated wait-list offers cancelled slots to waiting patients.
• Billing: includes claim scrubbing, a clearinghouse, automated ERA posting, patient statements by email or text, and cash patient invoicing. Practices can bill in-house or work with outside billing partners.
• Reporting: Reports include referral sources, visit volume, cancellations, no-shows, receivables and claim status. A KPI dashboard and compliance reports are also included.
• Patient engagement: Patients can register and book online through a portal that embeds in a practice website, or check in at a kiosk. 

Empower EMR offers two plans. AI Premium bundles the documentation, scheduling, billing, reporting and patient engagement tools described above. AI Premium Plus includes everything in AI Premium and adds the unlimited AI documentation scribe and compliance guidance.
